NEP Visions Score Hat Trick for Premiership Assault
UK Outside Broadcast specialists NEP Visions have purchased three Calrec Alpha consoles for one brand new HD truck and substantial refurbishments to two existing units.
The 52, 56 and 60 fader desks will be installed into Visions’ new HD3, HD4 and HD5 units and will cover live Premiership football for Sky. Each one will operate live to air for 10 months of the year.
"We have opted for Calrec Alphas in all the trucks in keeping with the Alpha console that Sky have in their HD studio," says NEP Visions’ Head of Sound Paul Fournier.
"Our choice is quite simple - we consistently choose Calrec for reliability and ease of use. All our freelancers - as well as staff – trust them and know instinctively how they work."
NEP Visions is the largest independent OB Facility company in the UK and amongst the largest in Europe with a mobile fleet consisting of 12 OB production units, four VTR units and two "flyaway" kits.
The company has helped televise hundreds of sporting events such as Wimbledon Tennis for NBC and ESPN, English Test Cricket for Channel 4 and English and Scottish Premier League football.
NEP Visions has also covered three Olympic Games, including Athens in 2004. Its coverage of the 2006 Winter Games in Torino will include a Calrec Sigma.
