QVC, Inc. Enlists Calrec to Enhance Its U.S. Studio Operations

The world’s leading electronic retailer, QVC, Inc., has enlisted Calrec Audio to enhance its studio operations at the company’s worldwide headquarters in West Chester, PA (U.S).

Calrec Audio has installed two 48 fader Calrec Zeta consoles as part of an upgrade to the company’s live, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week broadcast. The Zeta consoles replace two analog consoles.

The upgrade follows the installation of a 52 fader Sigma console at QVC’s UK operations in London, a factor that contributed to the system design process in the U.S.

"The positive impact that the Sigma console had on QVC’s UK operations prompted our decision to integrate them into our U.S. operations," said Ron Schiller, QVC’s Director, Broadcast Engineering & Technology. "In addition, Calrec’s products provide exceptional quality and are easy to use. Our operators find the simple one-touch recall of show files particularly useful."
