Calrec MD is Top of the Techs!
Calrec Audio’s Managing Director Stephen Jagger has been named the Technology and New Media Director of the Year in an initiative organised by the Institute of Directors.
The competition attracts entrants from businesses across the Yorkshire and Humber region, and identifies achievements across several categories.
The award recognises Stephen’s achievements in steering Calrec to tremendous success over the last twelve months. The company has enjoyed an 84% increase in sales and seen a substantial rise in profitability.
Based in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, Calrec manufacture digital audio mixing consoles for broadcasters, and recently celebrated 40 years in business. The company export over 70% of product overseas and its customers include many of the world’s biggest broadcasters.
Stephen is also director of Electronics Yorkshire, a not-for-profit company supporting and assisting the growth of the electronics sector throughout Yorkshire and the Humber, and Kerbside (Calderdale), a recycling scheme operating throughout the Calder Valley.
The award ceremony attracted entrants from across the Yorkshire and Humber region, one of the fastest growing business regions in the UK. The number of businesses in the Yorkshire and Humber continues to rise, with above UK average GDP growth for the past six years, and an above EU average for the past four.
