Live production and on-air broadcast operations demand the highest levels of reliability and suitability for purpose. Sigma with Bluefin delivers both.
Providing the utmost in reliability, ergonomics and technical specifications, Sigma with Bluefin is based on the highly scaleable Alpha operating platform.
Sigma with Bluefin provides 320 channel processing paths enabling the Sigma to comfortably tackle many larger productions which would previously have required a more powerful console. These can be configured for up to 52 x full 5.1 surround channels.
This channel capacity is further enhanced by an identical buss structure to Calrec’s larger Alpha with Bluefin console, including 20 auxiliaries and 48 tracks. In addition the system provides a significant amount of delay to cope with the increasing synchronization problems, for example, resulting from mixed format HD/SD production. Bluefin signal processing provides 496 mono elements of up to 2.73 seconds of audio delay, which can be inserted at various places in the signal paths.
